Key Details for This Week’s Pasta Dinner

  • We encourage volunteers from freshman, JV and varsity teams from both the cheer and football to participate weekly.

Medway Gridiron will be sponsoring an upcoming event with Imperial Ford to benefit HS Football & Cheer with $20.00 donated for every test drive & be entered to win some great giveaways!

Here are the details:

  • When: October 27th between 10 am – 2 pm.
  • Where: St. Josephs Parish Center on 145 Holliston St., Medway
  • How: Participants are only required take a short survey & test drive a Ford vehicle within the parking lot – Approximately 15 minutes with no “hard sell” from Imperial Ford – How easy is that!

Important Rules:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license & valid auto insurance to participate.
  • Limit one donation per person & per household.

Hello Gridiron Families:

Reminder we are holding the 2nd day of our Annual Mustang Blitz Card Fundraiser on Sunday, October 6th with designated 2 hour time blocks for cheerleaders and players between the hours of 8 am – 4 pm.

This is the Gridiron’s largest fundraiser. We thank you in advance for your cooperation. Your support enables the Medway Mustangs Gridiron Club to provide valuable programs & services to our athletes such as the Kick-Off BBQ, Training Equipment, Practice Apparel, Cheer Choreography, Scholarships, and many other activities through out the year.

Here are the key details of this year’s event:

Where Do I Sign Up?

  • Players and Cheerleaders have been assigned to a selling team. The designated team captains will be requesting coverage from team members on 10/6 between the hours of 8am and 4pm.
  • Please have your player/cheerleader select a two hour time slot on 10/6.
  • NOTE: A Blitz Card Sign Up Sheet was sent in a separate communication to all players/cheerleaders.

What Are The Key Responsibilities of Players & Cheerleaders The Day of My Shift?

  • Players and Cheerleaders are asked to be at the High School 10-15 minutes prior to their assigned time to check in. At check in they will be given a location to sell cards on 10/6.
  • Players are asked to wear their blue uniform jerseys. Cheerleaders are asked to wear their standard uniform.
  • Players & Cheerleaders sell in groups of 2-3 with a mix of grades included.
  • At the end of a shift, one person from each location will return to the MHS to drop off remaining cards & the money they have raised.
  • NOTE: Players & Cheerleaders will need transportation to their assigned location. Often upperclassmen will drive but we cannot guarantee a ride.

How Can Parents Help?

We ask for your assistance with transportation during your son/daughter’s designated time slot.

  • Final NOTE: We are not mandating parents purchase cards but we do ask that each family purchase at least one card to support the effort. You may either purchase it from your child, at the Blitz Day drop off or at the snack shack on any of the scheduled home games.

A Few Reminders for this Week:

  • We will be hosting a Breakfast for Dinner after practice on Thursday 10/3 for the Football & Cheer Teams.
  • The kids and adults love the breakfast and I’ve had many requests to bring it back.
  • Please see the notes along with the categories of necessary food items, as there are specific instructions for cooking and preparing the food.
  • We encourage volunteers from Freshman, JV and Varsity teams from both the cheer and football to participate weekly.

  • No changes to meeting time (7:30 pm – 8:30 pm) and location (VFW in Medway).
