Please note the following schedule updates for the 2019 Season:

1. Summer Lifting Program Scheduled Monday – Thursday – 7/8 – 7/31
• Updated start time from 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm with an 8 pm end time.
• Participants in the Summer Lifting Program would be JV and Varsity Players with sessions for Freshman TBD

3. 1st Football Practice Scheduled for 8/16 at 2:30 PM

4. Annual Fall Sports Meeting Scheduled for 8/19 at 6 pm at Medway HS

The Medway Community Education Department is pleased to offer a summer strength and conditioning program located at the high school’s NEW fitness center! This program is open to all students. Workouts will be strenuous, and participants will become faster and more powerful. Programs will be tailored to meet each participant’s needs.

Days: Mondays – Thursdays

Dates: Monday, July 8 – Thursday, August 15

Ages: Students entering grades 8-12

*Location: High School – Fitness Center & Hanlon Field *

Staff: Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach Jason Shea & Staff

Schedule:
▪ Monday & Wednesday Strength – Fitness Room – 7:00am, 8:00am or 9:00am (Please note: first come, first serve basis due to space constraints)

▪ Tuesday & Thursday Conditioning – Turf Field – 7:00am or 8:00am; Athletic Trainer onsite

▪ Each session is 60 minutes

It is mandatory that all Cheer and Football player participants complete the attached waiver form with the heading “Release and Indemnity Agreement-MINOR”.

Please note the following when filing out the form:

1. Have a Parent or Guardian sign and date the form.
2. Print a copy of the form and bring to the Clean Sweep on Saturday, April 27th at 8 AM.
3. A completed waiver form is required to participate in the Clean Sweep.

The Medway High School Football and Cheer Teams will be participating in the 7th Annual Medway Clean Sweep on Saturday, April 27th from 8 AM – 11 AM.

To volunteer please sign up via a Google Doc (link included in this communication) as soon as possible. You will be notified of our assigned “clean up” location prior to this year’s event.

Please note that these service hours may be applied to the semester requirement for the National Honor Society and/or the “Service Distinction” diploma at graduation. See the MHS 2018-2019 Student Handbook for more info.
